Hello and thanks for stopping by! We’re hopping with celebration and excitement this week :) Yep, we’re having a blog hop in celebration of our 200th post Lasting Memories!

Our challenge? BUTTONS!

We are looking for buttons, buttons everywhere on those layouts this week! Along the way, you’ll see that some of the DT are offering a little candy on their blogs but you have to visit us all to see who! We’ve also gotten a little creative with our buttons so we hope you’ll be inspired! You should have arrived here from JACKIE’s blog! But if this is your first stop, please be sure to hop back to Lasting Memories to start the hop so you don’t miss a thing!

Each of us has a letter for you to collect that will spell out a scrapbook themed word, so don’t forget to jot down my letter which you’ll see below. Once you’ve completed the hop, leave your answer in the comment section back at Lasting Memories. Comments will be moderated so there’s no peeking! Then you have to enter your LO and guess what?! Our grand prize winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from A2Z Scrapbooking Store!! Awesome right??

Now time to reveal my complete layout!

My layout uses the buttons to feature and highlight this adorable photo of my youngest son Hunter whacking the Pinata for his recent 4th birthday party!!

Your next stop will actually be your last, it’s back to the Lasting Memories blog!!

After that one, a bunch more just flowed out..

 Robots

  Ballerinas

Lasting Memories – #199

Sooo excited to finally bring you another DT make after yet another break…

I just haven’t been able to get “motivated” enough, but thankfully I’ve been feeling pretty good and the kids have been so great lately that I’ve managed some decent time at my craft desk to scrap.. (Recently I’ve only had short periods of time that I’ve been able to craft, so I’ve been making cards instead of layouts)…

Anyway, back onto this layout.. This week at the Lasting Memories challenge blog we are asking you to follow a sketch and use it as inspiration for your entry..

photo 1 (3)  SON

I have had to search thru older albums lately as I haven’t printed any new one’s in ages, however I fully intend on fixing that very soon as I really need to use the vibe of new photos to keep me going.. lol

Anyway, this photo was taken in November 2010, Hunter was just 4 months old.. We had just attended a wedding of great friends and were getting ready for bed in our hotel.. My little man had been so well behaved the entire time, I was so proud of him! :)

I had fun with this sketch as it made me place embellishments were I normally wouldn’t have thought to.. I love a little “different” to my basic comfort zone layouts that I tend to make for DT projects..
So please do swing on by this week and get some more inspiration from the other talented DT members and get crafting yourself… Make sure you link up to the Lasting Memories challenge blog by the end of the week..

Scrapbook Fantasies – week 27

Ooooo look at me gooooo…. lol..
I’ve managed to get some more crafting done today.. YAY me!

One is a DT make, so I can’t share that until Sunday evening, however the other one is an entry to this weeks challenge from Scrapbook Fantasies just released today… “Create a layout using Patchwork as your inspiration.”

photo 2 (2)

Cherish

When sifting thru some old albums I came across this adorable photo of my stepmother, Amanda meeting Hunter for the first time..
Gran was pretty smitten with another grandson..

I thought this photo would suit this challenge so perfectly.. :)

As soon as I read the challenge for this week, released only this morning, I knew straight away that I really wanted to have a go..

photo 1 (5)  I have used some squares to give the “Patchwork” effect and used some super cute “sewing” themed stamps to hide under the squares and to highlight the journaling.. The beautiful lace ribbon and the title top off the Patchwork feel for me.. Lastly these Prima flowers coordinate well with the papers..

As always, I would love for you to drop on over to the Scrapbook Fantasies blog and check out the challenge and DT example make for yourself and then get some crafting going so you can enter a layout too!

Scrap the Girls – July

Wooooo have I got something to show you tonight!!! :)

I am SOOOO excited to share with you this layout that I completed for the Scrap The Girls blog, July challenge..
“Paint and Texture Paste”

photo 3 Live – Laugh – Love

Without a doubt, this is my most favourite page that I made this weekend.. :)

I had so much fun with it, and it all very seemed to slot into place! It has turned out better than I could have imagined! :)

photo 1 (7)

So I started off with a ridiculous and awesome amount of misting sprays and a couple of frames to create masking effects…

photo 2 (8)

However for this challenge, it required the use of Paint and Texture paste, so the next layers were the texture paste and some white paint..

I really like taking progress or base photos before I start sticking the photos and embellishments down, as it helps to really highlight the work that doe go into that first part of the layout that could otherwise be missed or overlooked when completed..

photo 2 (7)

Now onto some close ups..

Here is the left side of the photo.. I painted the chipboard Chandelier, then coated it with some Shimmer too..

photo 4 (4)

This is the top right cluster of flowers and the painted chipboard Butterfly..

photo 1 (5)

Bottom right cluster..

photo 3 (8)

Finally this is the top right corner..

Thanks for letting me share this layout with you and I hope you may have gotten some inspiration from this layout.. I am totally in love with this one and am now looking forward to creating some masculine versions for my boys too..

Please do head over to the Scrap the Girls challenge blog and link up your entry too… :)

Once Upon A Sketch – July

Welcome back.. Again today I’ve been able to get into my craft room and get messy.. lol..
This time I’m keen to share with you my entry into the July Once Upon A Sketch challenge..

My entries into this challenge blog are few and far between… There is a reason for this though… It simply intimates me! Seriously, all of the creative team and the calibre of the entries every month totally blows my mind! Even though I don’t enter often, I do drop by several times a month to check out the awe-inspiring layouts!

photo 1 (3) Dream

Here is my layout.. This actually wasn’t the first base that I completed for this challenge, but thankfully before I stuck anything down I changed my mind and found this Kaiser Tea Party collection to use instead!

I am really quite proud of how it finally turned out! And I genuinely hope that I have done this challenge and the blog justice..

The main rules for OUAS is to follow the sketch and apply an extra.. The extra this month is to include NUMBERS in the Journaling..

I have chosen to hide my journaling as it is quite personal.. However you can see the top tab popping up from under the photo on the left…

photo 3 (7) A small quote from the journaling – Mark, here we are on our wedding day.. Enjoying the moments that have lead us to now.. You came into our lives and made our little family of two into three.. Then along came Hunter to make us four…I never really understood why older people referred to their partners a their “better half”.. But now I get it, we are the other half of each other, now we are together as one in this world..

I also thought using the scrabble tiles with the numbers on each letter for the title was a cute addition too! :)

photo 2 (6)  However I did add a few words to the right side of the layout where the sketch has the journaling..

The frame, flowers and pins finish off the embellishments for this layout..

I truly hope you’ve enjoyed viewing my layout and I thank you for your time allowing me to share this with you..

Please do head on over to the Once Upon A Sketch challenge blog to gain some amazing inspiration and get crafting yourself to enter!

123 challenge – July

I got super excited about this months challenge at the 123 challenge blog, it looked like so much fun that I jut wanted to jump into crafting as soon as I could.. So last night I sat at my craft desk and got a bit spray messy.. lol..

123 Challenge - July 2014

photo 1 (2)

This is the “spray messy” that I had fun creating… Silly me still hasn’t learnt to NOT place my phone infront of my mat when I mist.. my Gold & White iPhone has some multi-coloured tones all over it.. lol..

First of all I started with the red and yellow spots then the green arrows…  Some modelling paste over the top, then stamped some staz on blue… The blue and red dots were the last..

photo 2 (2)

I kept the actually layout design nice and simple as I really wanted the focus to be on the base complimenting the photo..
Since the photo features my oldest boy Lane and his friend Caleb, I wanted to highlight fun that comes with boys words, that’s why I changes the letters to have the right attitude.. lol..

I am so proud of my boy.. He truly has some “awesome” friends! I’m very lucky as a Mum to know they are all such great influences to each other!

I would love for you to drop on over to the 123 challenge blog, get some inspiration and get crafting with your own entry! :)

scrapbook fantasies – week 25

Last week Scrapbook Fantasies released their week 25 challenge, “create a layout about Kisses”..

photo 3 (6)

I don’t have a lot of “kissing” photos.. lol.. But when I was sifting thru my photos, I did come up with a beautiful photo of my bff and her husband during a trash the dress photo shoot a couple days after their Fijian wedding..

“Leah and Faga enjoying a private moment during one of their photo shoots after their wedding”… Nadi, Fiji – November – 2013..

I used the Kaiser - Tea Party collection for this layout..

Although there is only a day left to enter this challenge, the #26 is still open for another week “create a layout featuring a Bird”..

Screen Cards

Have you seen these lately??
I’m the type of person that usually tries to keep up with all the new and exciting creations.. However, by the time I actually get around to attempting new creations, they are typically not a “new craze” anymore… lol..

My newest creation to attempt is the Screen Card.. I have seen so many beautiful cards lately, so on the weekend while I was trying to stay out of the way of the electrician, I finally got around to making a couple..

The first one will be used as a THANK YOU card for the wonderful Helicopter crew who gave care to my Mum’s partner just days before Christmas..  (He is fine! Just bumps and bruisers)

10458037_722858307749804_7444809649960354936_n

The first panel has the stamp “Life unscripted” on it.. I thought that was a little ironic, so just had to add it..
The second panel is blank for the message..
The third panel is decorative..
The last panel is the “thank you”..

The second card is just a plain and simple, but fun card to make..

10262169_722911244411177_6087578176360829320_n

I have dry embossed the red cardstock and then heat embossed two of the tabs at the top..

The flowers are from a packet that my recent Secret Sister -Pamela, sent me in a swap.. Thank you!!!

Don’t forget to keep up to date with my crafting, my Facebook page is - https://www.facebook.com/scrapcrazy.customcreations
I also LOVE it when other crafters interact and give me some feedback on my projects, so feel free to drop a comment here or on the facebook too.. Thank, Toni.. xoxo

Just Add Ink – 219

Hey Hey… I’m back…
I’m back tonight with a challenge layout for the JAI #219..

The challenge calls for inspiration to be gathered from a mood board -
I really enjoyed using this mood board..
It’s something I usually wouldn’t work with, and the colours aren’t exactly in my comfort zone either.. But as soon as I saw the colours and patterns I knew I had a Paper Pad given to me by my recent Secret Sister swap partner, that would be perfect!!!!!

This is the layout that I created  -

10401478_722909091078059_7546595164302022276_n  I truly had such fun creating this page yesterday..
I sat at my craft desk for a few hours yesterday, trying to keep out of the way of the Electrician who was here..

The photo that is featured here displays my beautiful Bouquet that I had for my wedding back in 2011..

Unfortunately the yellow colour hasn’t come up as bright in the photo as it actually is in real life..

As always, I would like to thank Just Add Ink for this great challenge!
Even though I don’t get to follow through with many challenges these days, every week I still drop by the JAI blog anyway to see the amazing DT makes and other entries! :)

Hope you all had a great weekend.. Toni..
