Need For Speed – Race Clock

Changing up my posts this time.. I have shared with you a lot of girly creations and projects over the past week or so..

Today however I would like to share with you this awesome Need For Speed – Race clock I altered.. It is based on an inspiration from a LO that I did of my Brother and his motorbike a few months ago..

photo 1 (2)

I used a pattern paper for the background from the Kaiser BaseCoat collection.. YES, I LOVE this collection! :)

I raided the tool shed for all the nuts, bolts and washers.. lol..

Here is a photo of my craft desk while deep in the creative process..

At the back is the layout that I used of my brother as inspiration..

The corners of the clock (inside) have stamped chicken wire and also some grey/silver clear modelling paste..

This is one of those projects that just can’t be captured in a photo.. It truly is stunning in real life!! :)

photo 2

I have to admit to being totally in love with this clock!! I have intended on more than one occasion to gift it as a present, but still haven’t been able to part with it.. lol..

It is currently on display in my lounge room until I either gift it to a loved one, or sell it on.. :)

5 layered Altered Matchboxes

I have really been enjoying making the Altered Matchboxes of all sizes lately.. So with the help from Pinterest, I noticed that some people have tiered them to make little drawers..

I have used a pack of 10 matchboxes to make this very girly and pretty drawer set..

photo 3 (2)

I chose to make this something that I would like..

I usually try to make some thing in a style I would like first, so I can figure it all out before making different styles or themes.. :)

It was quite a while ago that I actually made this project.. So for up to date info and postings of my craft projects, please drop by my FaceBook page that is wholly dedicated to my crafts.. :)

Altered Post-It Note Holders

Recently I was in another Aussie swap.. This one was for Altered Post-It Note Holders..

I had so many ideas going thru my head I made a couple of designs, just for fun!

Using a Kaiser range released a couple of months ago, I made this first holder using a photo frame..

I have had such positive feedback from this one on my crafting facebook page.. :)

The second holder I made I used the same collection.. But used a Chipboard BTP for the base..

This is the holder that I sent off to my swap partner… She loved it thankfully! :)

Art Journal – “spring” page

The latest challenge theme for my Art Journal in the “Addicted to Card Making” facebook group, is to make a page dedicated to SPRING, using Pastel colours and journal about what it means to me..

Art Journal 'spring'

As you may see in the stamp I have used a circle stamp that has all the months on it.. But I only stamped the “Sep, Oct, Nov” months.. (in Australia, these are our Spring months)

The papers I have used are from an older Graphic 45 collection..

I wrapped some twine around the frame..

The journaling reads something along the lines of, how Spring to me in Central Queensland is the most perfect time and place to be! It’s very much “Gods” country here!

Last touches were the small flowers, washi and button..

The title letters are Thicker stickers..

Thank you very much for dropping by today.. Feel free to leave me a comment on what Spring means to you if you’d like.. Cheers.. Toni.. :)

Altered Paint Brush

Ooooh look at me.. How good have I been the last few days keeping posts updated on my blog! yay me! lol..

Today, I’m going to share with you an Altered Paint Brush I did for a partner swap here in Australia..

My partner was Erin, she asked for Vintage Shabby.. Unfortunately I think I was off the mark with the theme, but I did end up loving the finished project as I hope she did too!

I know I was “off” with the colours.. I was having a total blank crafting day and just couldn’t get anything to fit or inspire me..

I added the bird, cage, lace, vintage necklace to hopefully pick the project back up to level..

And this is the back..

I asked Erin for PRETTY & PINK… I think she absolutely nailed it! I’m totally in love with the paint brush that she made and sent to me! I think its perfect!

Thank you Erin!! :)

Little Easter gifts for Kindy friends..

Tonight I’m sharing with you some Easter gifts that I put together for Hunter’s little Kindy friends..

These are quite simple with some cardboard wrapped around, then string wound around with the stamp on a punched label… I think they look awesome!

Each has a Freddo frog – 20 all up.. Then placed inside a small envelope so they could be placed into the kindy mail slots easily.. :)

Masculine Card series

Today I wanted to share with you some quick cards I made for a Masculine series I did lately..

I started out making these two cards..

6×6″ quilt patch style..

Then made more with the leftovers..

These two cards are 4×6″ inspired by the above cards.. I added some washi tape..

Again, using leftovers I added some different washi tape and a stamped image..

All of these papers are made by Kaiser..

Last but not least, three more male cards using Kaiser (basecoat range).. They are simple and quick but effective!

I have left these final cards blank of any extra embellishments or sentiments so that can be added to customise to the card for the person who will be receiving it..

Srapbook Fantasies -w12

Welcome back this evening crafty friends..
Today I’m bringing you a layout I have completed for the Scrapbook Fantasies week 12 challenge – USE CHIPBOARD

This layout highlights the 20 races that Lane competed in during on swimming carnival in February..

scrap fantasies w12

The chipboard that I used is the circle/droplets frame.. I had so much fun painting this.. I couldn’t find the “right” green in my paint stash, so I just mixed some Yellow, Blue and a pinch of Teal t get it just perfect..

I have displayed the journaling tag in a fun way on some twine, and held it in place with a mini peg..

The “splatter” stamp on the pattern paper is from Kaiser.. It comes on a pack with three different stamps..

I wanted t keep the embellishments to a minimum to highlight the pattern paper, the frame and the photo of course..

Thank you very much for allowing me to share this layout with you! I would love for you to drop by the Scrapbook Fantasies blog and check out their weekly challenges they have going atm.. They also have just released a new Card Sketch for April that looks fun too..

Lasting Memories – #183

Welcome back crafty friends… Yes, I’ve been bad again and haven’t kept my blog as updated as I should… However if you duck on over to my crafting FaceBook page, you  can be updated on all of my creations in real time..

Today I’m here to bring you the latest layout from Lasting Memories LO challenge blog..

photo 4 (2)

I LOVE these simple challenges, as many of you know.. lol..

For this layout I first chose the photo I wanted to scrap, then I went through my two tubs of scraps to find some pieces that might work together..

photo 1 (10)

I found these goodies in the large box of scraps.. This tub I keep under my craft table.. Infact I rest my feet on it.. lol.. It is roughly 25” x 13”  by 6” deep..  It keeps my larger pieces of paper.. In a much smaller container I keep next to my desk, (at desk level) for the smaller off-cuts..

photo 2 (9)

photo 3 (2)

This is one of the many base cardstock that I have hiding under my desk.. They are all bases that for some reason didn’t work out the way I had envisioned in my head, so they got tossed underneath into the tub for me to start afresh on a new base..

The colours on the base play in perfectly with the colours in the photo..

The photo features what my every mornings are like.. It displays all the food out on the bench ready for me to prepare and pack breakfasts and lunches for school and Kindy..

I generally take everything out of the fridge and cupboard that I’m going to need, then place everything back in as I’m done with it.. This in time slowly ends up with a bench that only has two plates for breakfast and two lunchboxes ready for school bags..

It works for me..

Anyway, I simply tore up the paper into strips and stuck down.. I used some ribbon and some Bling that I got in a RAK a little while ago..

We all have scraps, and my page shows just how quick and easy it for anyone to get a page together for this challenge.. SO I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A RECORD AMOUNT OF ENTRIES FOR THIS CHALLENGE! Don’t forget you have until the end of the month to link up your layouts to Lasting Memories..
