Scrapping Everyday Miracles – February challenge

Posted by on February 11, 2014

Righto, so we are almost mid-way thru February, so I wanted to bring you the challenge that is currently open over at the SEM challenge blog..  —
Since these this blog has a large DT, I decided to “stagger” my post release date, so your not all overwhelmed all at the same time..

The challenge theme this month is LOVE…
There are 3 ways you can WIN! Create any project with the THEME, create a LO based on the sketch, or create a card based on the sketch…

This month is my turn to support the blog with a prize… So the winner of my prize will receive a $20 gift voucher to Scrapbook Fantasies.. All postage costs will also be covered..

Now, onto my creation.. I’ve decided to do another BTP project for this month.. photo 1 (28)

I used a Kaiser hanging heart and frame.. I chose NOT to add a photo, and moved the heart to the side, instead of the middle how it is intended…

I also got this Kaiser word “love”, it fits perfectly I think!! :)

After I painted everything white, I stuck torn strips of rose pattern paper around the edges of the square frame..

Then I rubbed a pink and light brown paint dauber over it all too…
As you can see, some on the white paint was used again as finishing touches to break up the solid colours..

I used plenty of flowers as embellishments and even a long pearl bead necklace…

This Prima flower with charms looks so beautiful on the side of the frame where the heart meets it..

Even though the heart is stuck to the side of the frame, I wrapped loads of pretty pink and white twine around it too.. The effect in real life is so much better than what I could capture in these photos!

On the top, again I added plenty of Kaiser flowers…. Laid some gorgeous creamy-green lace on the top too..

I do hope that you’ll stop by the Scrapping Everyday Miracles challenge blog to see the rest of the DT creations… And you have until the end of the month to get your own entry linked up in time to win one of the 3 prizes that are up for grabs… So what are you waiting for???? Go on over… :)
